Injection Pump drive gear backlash – 0
Camshaft gear backlash – 0
Lube Pump gear backlash – 0.020” (over by 0.007”)
Lube Pump Idler gear – 0.004”
Lube Pump
Oil Pump tip clearance – 0.003”
Port Plate clearance – 0.001”
Body Bore clearance – 0.008”
Cylinder Head
#5 Rocker Lever bore diameter – Exhaust - 0.748”(round)
Intake side – 0.748”(round)
#5 Pedestal shaft diameter – exhaust side – 0.7460”(round)
Intake side – 0.7460”(round)
#5 Valve depth – Exhaust – 0.044”
Intake – 0.050”
#5 Vale Springs free Length – Exhaust – 2.163”
Intake – 2.360”
#5 Springs compression test – Exhaust – 1.875”
Intake – 2.000”
Cylinder Head Deck flatness – 0.004”(over by 0.001”, all along the head deck, but at the two ends)
Exhaust Manifold
Exhaust Manifold flatness – around #3,4,5 port holes it was
over by 0.001”
Engine Block
Overall Flatness – around the
hole of the water jacket hole between #4 and 5, it was 0.001” over
#2 Cylinder bore diameter- Top -4.0190”(round)
Bottom – 4.0170”(round)
Taper – 0.002”
#2 Piston
Piston skirt – 4.010”
Pin bore diameter – 1.5750”(min)
Piston Pin diameter – 1.5749”(round)
#2 Connecting Rod
Pin bore diameter with busing installed – 1.577”(min)

Rod Bearing Clearance with bearing installed – 2.719”
Crankshaft
#2 Journal diameter – Front side – 2.717”
Flywheel
side – 2.718”
#5 Injector
Injector opening pressure – 3800 psi
Leakage Test – No drops - (hold at 290 psi blow opening
pressure for 10 seconds)

Everything was within spec, but a couple of
things. (witch are noted)

Water pump was rusty, but no pitting. It turns
good. Looking throw the weeping hole, no evidence that the seal has been
leaking.
·
Water / coolent ways were a little rusty
·
Exhaust Manifold has no gaskets
·
Two bolts missing from oil pan and two holes are
stripped
·
Tappets tops are durting
·
A lot of paint chips inside, everywhere.
